Renee and Chris were married on October 27th, with a ceremony and reception at Noah’s of Morrisville in Morrisville, North Carolina.
Renee and Chris’ Noah’s of Morrisville Wedding
Since I was the sole photographer for this wedding, I photographed everything sequentially. That meant I started off photographing Chris getting ready and then staging a first look with his parents—which was a very different experience for me. Usually, I start with the bride getting ready. But every wedding is unique, and this was one of those twists!
Once I met up with Renee for her wedding prep, she let me know that apparently Chris had what she called a “man crush” on me. He was pleased with the experience at the studio when we discussed the wedding timeline and with the fact that he was able to review our work on display. Renee didn’t know how to share that with me, but I totally understood—and we all had a good laugh.
The other thing that stuck out to me during this wedding was Renee and Chris’s love of music. They hired a live band to perform all evening long. In fact, when Chris heard the band practicing before the ceremony, he was as excited as a kid on Christmas Day. He even gigged out with the band on his “air piano” during the reception!
Finally, I couldn’t blog about this wedding without talking up the great venue. Noah’s has some amazing ballrooms for those sweeping first dance moments and romantic backdrops, and the views are always stunning. One of the reasons why this North Carolina venue is so popular is that it can be totally transformed to reflect a couple’s unique style. For Renee and Chris, their theme of plum and silver was carried into the gorgeous draperies, dramatic up-lighting, and into the tabletop décor. Every detail of this wedding was impeccably stylish, just like the bride and groom.
Chris & Renee, you two are some of the coolest people I’ve had the privilege of getting to know. Your personal style, along with your genuinely nice family and friends, had me feeling at home all day long
